Moving to a new city is always exciting! So many new things to see, and SMELL! But moving means leaving good friends behind and starting new. I’ve been living in San Francisco now for about 10 months. We moved here from Arlington, VA, and I had to leave my best friend Bailey behind that I grew so fond of, as well as my cousin Domino.
The good news is, I am super social! I love meeting everyone, people and dogs! I started to notice that people aren’t as good at making friends in a new place, especially as they get older. I think it is easy, just be like me! Say hi to everyone, and don’t be shy. All you have to do is smell their butts and it works. Ok, so maybe humans shouldn’t do that part 🙂 I’ve heard it’s not very lady like 🙂 Anyway, I’ve made a ton of friends already (and even helped my mommy and daddy make some friends too!)
I recently made some pup friends through social media, I’m sure you’ve heard of it- Instagram! (If your not friends with them already, you should add them ASAP @chipperwiggles) I’ve been talking through my posts with Molly and Chipper for a few months, and one weekend, my mommy let me meet them in person! Isn’t she swell 🙂
I got to meet Chipper and Molly at the beach at Crissy Field, my favorite place! When I met Molly, she even helped me muster up the courage to just jump into the marsh water/stream with her. It was like we’d been friends for a lifetime. I love Chipper too. He is a little older, but he loves to watch us play! I think we will all be friends forever. I can’t wait to meet some of my other SF dog friends that I made on Instagram too.
So while it was sad to leave old friends and family, there is so much adventure to be had in San Francisco, and I can’t wait to keep meeting more new friends!

I’m glad you settled in Ruby. It’s a good thing your not shy. Be a good puppy for your mom & dad. I can’t wait to see you again

It’s fun to see a post from a furry companions point of view! It’s sometimes hard to see moving from the dogs perspective because they are often so happy to just be where we are! It’s great that you got your pooch out to create his own social network!
